Eligibility Requirements
To become a member, you must meet the following criteria:
Age: You must be at least 21 years old (though some lodges accept men from 18 years up).
Belief: You must believe in a Supreme Being or Almighty God, regardless of your specific religion or creed.
Character: You must be a man of good moral standing and a law-abiding citizen.
Financial Stability: You must be financially independent enough to support yourself and your family while paying lodge fees (which typically include an entrance fee of KSh 30,000 to 40,000 and annual subscriptions of KSh 4,000 to 6,000). [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Step-by-Step Application Process
Contact the Local Lodge: You can reach out to the District Grand Lodge of East Africa, which administers lodges in Kenya. Alternatively, you can contact the Grand Lodge of Africa directly. [1, 2, 3]
Attend Introductory Meetings: You will be invited to informal gatherings to ask questions, meet existing members, and ensure that the fraternity is a good fit for you. [1]
