Appendant Masonic Bodies in Belize

Appendant body activity in Belize is modest, as befits the small size of the lodge community, but the Scottish Rite and York Rite traditions are present. The Supreme Council of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite for Belize was established following the formation of the Grand Lodge of Belize in 2012, connecting Belizean Masons to the higher degrees within the country's own jurisdictional structure. Prior to the 2012 formation of the Grand Lodge of Belize, Belizean Masons seeking advanced degree work typically connected to bodies in Mexico through the Quintana Roo connection.
York Rite bodies have historically served Belizean Masons, with Chapter, Council, and Commandery work accessible through the regional network. Belize's English-language character gives it natural connections to English-speaking York Rite bodies in the Caribbean and through the US Grand York Rite bodies, though the institutional structure is organized under the national grand lodge.
The Shrine has no formal temple established in Belize. Belizean Brothers interested in Shrine membership typically connect through the Mexican and Caribbean Shrine network; Anezeh Shrine Temple, based in Houston and covering Central America and Mexico, provides the regional framework.
Allied bodies including the Order of the Eastern Star are associated with the lodge community. Belize participates in COMACA (Central American Masonic Confederation) as a member jurisdiction, giving Belizean Masons a regional platform for appendant body contacts and inter-jurisdictional Masonic travel
